Another Quicklisp install screencast

Over at the Quicklisp blog there's a short installation screencast showing how long it takes to install and try Quicklisp.

Making a screencast

I did this:

echo "Click the window you want to record."; byzanz-record -d 16 `xwininfo | \
grep 'Absolute\|Width\|Height' | sed "s/.* \([^ ]\)[^ ]*: */-\1 /" |\
tr '[:upper:]' '[:lower:]' | tr '\n' ' '` output.gif && gnome-open $_

Any trick that gives you an opportunity to tell byzanz-record that you are done recording, rather than deciding the length of the movie in advance?

Re: Making a screencast

I don't know. I picked my time and cropped to fit.
