Had a nice time in Downeast Maine. Went ice fishing for the first time in a decade, and it couldn't have been a nicer day for it. The day started off slow, but I caught some fish (a few bass, a few perch, and a pickerel) in the afternoon.
We chucked the pickerel on the ice and left it, and in a few minutes a bald eagle swooped down and made off with it. He hung around our side of the lake for a few hours after that, looking for more treats, but that was the only pickerel of the day.
