Yuji Minejima announced a new implementation of LOOP. I read through the code and it looks pretty nice. It does smart destructuring of multiple-value-list into multiple-value-setq, for example, and it's half the size of MIT's old LOOP implementation, which he mentions "contains lots of historical code."
