Munich Lisp meeting

From Tobias Rittweiler comes this message:

Munich Lisp Group meeting: December 3rd 2008 at 19:30, University of Munich (LMU)

The topic of the evening will be SLIME, the Superior Lisp Interaction Mode for Emacs.

Tobias Rittweiler will share knowledge and finesse he has aquired over the last two years hacking on Slime in his spare time. His talk will include

  • how Slime works conceptually,
  • how to leverage Emacs' self-documentability,
  • presenting stuff he hacked into Slime,
  • insights into how he uses Slime himself,
  • ideas about future directions.

The talk will be very interactive. All participants are encouraged to ask questions on how to best use Slime regarding specific problems they encountered in the past. They're also encouraged to provide feedback on things they currently find annoying or cumbersome, and to request features they would like to see implemented one day.

When?

On Wednesday 3rd 2008, starting at 19:30.

Where?

The talk will be uphold at the University of Munich (LMU), Oettingerstr. 67, in room "Takla-Makan Z11." For detailed information on how to get there, please see

(Thanks to Andreas Hauser for organizing the room!)

The participants are likely to end the evening by visiting some local pub, and the consumption of (non-)alcoholic liquids. :-)
